Crafting Legacy: The Velaurion Story
Every cherished heirloom begins its journey with a single moment. For Ashley Decker, founder of Velaurion, that moment was rooted in the profound connection she felt each time she wore the precious pieces passed down from her grandmother, mother, and mother-in-law. Each ring, each necklace carried not just beauty, but stories—whispers of the remarkable women who wore them before.
As Ashley traveled the world, she cultivated a collection of unique pieces, each selected with the future in mind. Yet it wasn't until she began working with metal and stone at age 40 that she truly understood the magic of creating legacy pieces. In her pursuit of mastering metalsmithing, Ashley discovered more than technique—she found a calling to create jewelry that would transcend generations.
The vision for Velaurion crystallized as her own children approached their college graduations. Ashley sought to reimagine the traditional graduation ring, envisioning pieces that would not only celebrate academic achievement but become the first chapter in each graduate's own legacy. She wanted to create rings that would be worn and cherished daily, pieces that would feel both timeless and deeply personal.
Moving beyond conventional college ring designs, Ashley developed a philosophy of creating bespoke pieces that would stand as works of art—each one unique, each one destined to become tomorrow's heirloom. Her designs merged sophisticated elegance with daily wearability, ensuring each ring would be as relevant in fifty years as it is today.

Today, Velaurion creates just 20 pieces annually, each one a celebration of academic excellence and the beginning of a new family tradition. Ashley personally oversees every design, infusing each piece with the same care and consideration she put into creating those first rings for her children.
